In this guide, I am sharing the best places to visit in the USA in October. Although, most of these destinations are equally as beautiful throughout the fall season.

In many ways, Fall is the best season for travel, especially for families. With school back in session, destinations and airports are much less crowded. Prices for travel are lower than summer and many hot destinations are more enjoyable with a milder climate.

Tempe, Arizona and the Phoenix Metropolitan Area | Places to Visit in the USA in October
Tempe, Arizona is located in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. It is a smaller college town. However, in recent years, the city has done a lot to grow into its own personality. The city offers great restaurants, outdoor exploration and unique boutique experiences.
