Disclosure: We were hosted at The Dwellings Co. However, all opinions and photography is my own
Southern Utah has no shortage of claims to fame. From its photo- worthy Western Desert landscape to its appeal for the outdoor enthusiasts, Utah is arguably one of the most beautiful and diverse in offerings of the 50 states. Aside from its notoriety of being the home of the Big 5 National Parks, the last few years has created a boom in the tiny house movement in Utah gaining the state even more popularity then before. Just 20 minutes from Zion National Park in Springdale Utah, we had the pleasure of staying at The Dwellings Co., a luxury tiny house vacation rental village in La Verkin, Utah. This is easily one of the coolest Airbnb near Zion and in this post, you will find out why this tiny house escape should be added to your bucket list ASAP.
The Dwellings Co. Luxury Vacation Home Rentals near Zion in Southern Utah
The Dwellings Co. was established in 2019. They are made up of 12 Luxury Small and Tiny house vacation rental houses that range from 300 to 800 sqft and are suitable for any variety of traveler from solo to couples and family. They were designed to lend a smaller sustainable footprint with all the amenities of home which make them great for both long and short term stays. Each house is modern in design and surprisingly spacious. As with many other Airbnbs, these tiny houses offer all the amenities of home such as a kitchenette, full sized bathrooms, luxury sleeping spaces and Wi-Fi with TV and access to streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. The best way to describe these properties are glamping airbnbs near Zion National Park. However, the most important aspect of staying at the Dwellings Co. is the outstanding views of the Virgin River and Pine Valley Mountain. Large windows in the living area give way to shocking views and an indoor/outdoor living area to be enjoyed.
Family Resort Near Zion National Park
We had the pleasure of staying in the Shocking view stacker which is an 800sqft small house and made the perfect vacation space for a family as small as 3 or as large as 8 members.
The shocking view stacker came with a queen sized master bedroom, loft with 2 sets of bunks and living area that could be turned into another sleeping space. This plan is most suitable for families large and small. Unlike many tiny houses, this is the perfect tiny house to try your hand in tiny house living because the split- level floor plan gives guests small living quarters and privacy simultaneously.
As mentioned, you can’t beat the indoor/outdoor living spaces that the property offers. Each unit slides open to an outdoor sitting space complete with lawn chairs, a grill and outdoor cocktail bar for your convenience. While the kitchen is not optimized for cooking, grilling and storing meals is a great option for spring, summer and fall months. However, if you prefer to relax and let establishments do the cooking, there is a mom and pop restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner within walking distance from the property called Red River Roasting Company- a mom and pop establishment within walking distance.
