(Please Like, Comment and Share this post ) In 202 (Please Like, Comment and Share this post ) In 2021, can we start minding our business ? ——————- Travel shaming has always been a thing . A judgement on where people are traveling domestically or internationally , if they travel budget or luxury, eating local or chain once they get there . However, I witnessed a level of travel shaming in 2020 that I hadn’t seen before . @oneikatraveller shared a great post about it that I’ll share in my stories. While some chose to stay at home—others decided that with the right precautions, travel could be attainable for them. We are those people and 100% of the time it’s no one’s business what others do. ————— There’s a lot of discussion around what is safe right now and what’s not . But if we’re going to talk about what’s not safe in travel, we should also be able to talk about other things that aren’t safe like suicide, depression and depleted mental health . The point is , as some of us continue to try to regain what a normal life looked like for us less than 365 days ago; please remember to grant them grace and trust that they did their part to keep others safe . We have to be more kind in 2021 and allow people to live their lives. A lot of people didn’t make it to this year with us but if you’re here, that’s enough cause for celebration and continuing to live a fulfilled life ✨ THAT’S ALL! —————— Let’s talk about it in the comment section below ! 🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻 #travelblogger #travelwriter #blacktravelmovement #travelnoire #essencetravels #blacktravelfeed #blacktraveljourney #familytravel #travelmoms #blacktravelbloggers #blackcontentcreators #melaninmajority #travelgram #travelingram #madtravel #blacktravelgo #roadto100countries
Hey y’all Hey!! Happy New Year to Everyone . Wh Hey y’all Hey!!
Happy New Year to Everyone . Whew. WE MADE IT . If you’ve done nothing else that’s ENOUGH. ——————- In true “New Year” Fashion, I wanted to take some time to reintroduce myself and my family. If you’re new here— Hi, Hello, Welcome . ❤️ ———— I’m Sierra, a travel industry expert + journalist and content creator with a Masters Degree in Travel and Tourism . I specialize in destinations and I study the connection between media + travel and food + culture and a lot of other things . As a result, you’ll find a lot of food and travel information here and on my blog. My goal here is to help you live an “out of the box” , luxury and worth while travel experience solo, in a couple/ group or especially with your kids because we’re raising a global citizen. My mantra is that “there’s no room for intolerance if you’re well traveled and start young”. ————— Less boring stuff: I love @pixar , I listen to @hamiltonmusical Atleast one a day, I’m a God Girl as @nicolewalters would say and I love life. If you’ve seen the movie Soul then you know that’s a super power . ———-
The other two guys in the picture are my family @iam_red52 and Easten. Our son essentially has a travel themed name (or direction ) and It’s fitting for him.
While Elijah @iam_red52 just started a food IG so go check him out . ———— My husband is active duty Army so every two years , our audience has watched us move from place to place. Our family agrees that although we’re from Atlanta ; Miami is home and Florida is forever for us . Once he’s out, we plan to move back . We currently live in Las Vegas and absolutely love it here while we can . —————— So, now that I’ve gotten that out of the way. I would love to learn more about you . Tell me anything ! Where you’re from, the cuisine you love , what destination is your favorite or something unique about your city . Hey Y’all! Happy Friday. I hope you’re all rel Hey Y’all! Happy Friday. I hope you’re all relaxing and prepping for Thanksgiving in the coming week 🦃 —————————- Today’s post isn’t travel related . It’s a reminder to GRANT YOURSELF GRACE! —————- We keep hearing that this year is unprecedented. So why are you expecting yourself to accomplish major things ? It’s okay if you’re taking a break or deciding to remove things from your list . TRANSPARENT MOMENT: This Q4, I decided against pitching brands as usual . If I don’t have the bandwidth, I just don’t do it. I’m granting myself the grace to finish the work that I do have and successfully finish this dissertation that’s taking a lot out of me and that’s okay . ———————-
