5 Reasons to LOVE Embassy Suites Washington, DC Georgetown for Your Washington, DC Family Vacation

If you’ve been following our travels for a while then you know indeed, I am a bit of a hotel snob and that we are super loyal to the Hilton brand (Click HERE to read about our other Hilton Adventures). I have no shame. I love class, comfort and bomb customer service and a Hilton hotel ALWAYS offers that. The Embassy Suites Washington, DC Georgetown was no exception. Embassy Suites is one of Hilton’s moderately priced hotels and regardless of which level it falls under, I know my stay is going to be amazing. For three days, we were treated like Royalty at the Embassy Suites By Hilton Washington, DC Georgetown and I am here to give you 5 Reasons to LOVE this hotel for your Washington, DC family vacation. If you’re planning a vacation to the District with your family, you’ll want to keep reading.

Disclaimer: Our family was hosted for a 3- night stay on behalf of Hilton Hotels in exchange for an honest review of our experience.

5 Reasons to LOVE Embassy Suites Washington, DC Georgetown for Your Family Vacation

The Embassy Suites Washington, DC Georgetown is the epitome of perfect hotel suites in Washington, DC for families on vacation. It is a swanky and newly renovated all- suite hotel that is just waiting to meet your every need. Hotels are important, after all they serve as your home away from home for the duration of your stay. This one has it ALL: Location, Amenities, Convenience and more…

Location

5 Reasons to LOVE Embassy Suites Washington, DC Georgetown for Your Family Vacation

The Embassy Suites Washington, DC Georgetown is located in between the Georgetown and DuPont neighborhoods of Washington, DC. These are two historic and super trendy neighborhoods making it the perfect location for exploration. Staying here puts you just minutes away from boutique shopping and eateries, and Starbucks. Just think quaint and historic college town. The situation of the hotel is very pedestrian and bike friendly. We truly enjoyed leaving the car in the parking garage and exploring the area by foot. We walked EVERYWHERE and enjoyed the spring weather (by spring weather I mean the pollen but the temperature was wonderful) while bypassing the DC traffic. Walking aimlessly is perfectly acceptable. Around every corner, you’ll find other pedestrians, bikers, run clubs, moms with strollers and more. When in DC, walk as the locals do!

Free Made to Order Breakfast & Evening Reception

5 Reasons to LOVE Embassy Suites Washington, DC Georgetown for Your Family Vacation

When traveling with a family (especially small kids) you know that some things are super necessary. One of those things for us is breakfast. We have a two- year- old and the last thing we want to do is wake him super early to go to a restaurant for breakfast before sightseeing. That’s like asking for a bad day. Perhaps what I love most about the Embassy Suites chain of Hilton Hotels is the fact that they offer free breakfast. For a mom, when you see free anything you hear angels singing hallelujah. Come on, let’s face it. Travel is EXPENSIVE and I have a headache thinking about how much food costs (breakfast, lunch and dinner) in a week’s time. Free breakfast is so attractive.

It keeps the family happy and helps ease the blow to your pockets as well. Oh, and this isn’t just regular breakfast. This Embassy Suites location offers Free made to order breakfast. Yep, you can totally craft the Omelets of your dreams and walk away with a Thank you and a smile as payment. They clearly know how to get this hospitality thing right. It’s buffet style so indulge! And for sleepy heads like us, you can carry it all back to your room and enjoy breakfast in bed. Dreams do come true!

From 5:30 to 7:30 they also offer a complimentary evening reception. Free drinks (yes, alcohol if that’s your thing) and snacks like nachos, pretzels, & fruits/veggies! Who doesn’t like snacks? Embassy Suites really keeps their guests in mind. The evening reception is the perfect pick me up to tie you and your family over till dinner time.

Spacious and Stylish Suite Style Rooms

When traveling with family, space is super important. Whether you have a family of 3 or a family of 6, this Embassy Suites location has you covered. One of the things that I love most about Embassy Suites chain is that all rooms are guaranteed suite style. There is plenty of space, a kitchenette, sitting area with additional pull out bed and entertainment area and desk for work. This is what makes Embassy Suites so amazing. It’s like having a little slice of home on the road with you. Should you choose to do a staycation, you’ll never even have to leave the room.

This newly renovated location welcomes you to your room with clean and modern design. Is it just me or are clean, white and crisp sheets from hotels so inviting? When you walk in the room, it screams relaxation and lux style. Boom, you’ve just gotten a pent house suite…without the ridiculous prices. Everything was so comfy from the couches to the bed and pulling myself out of bed was a task every morning. Oh, how I wish I could have taken the bed with us!

The Suite rooms are pretty sweet (Punny Right?)

What’s a hotel without amenities? Hotels cost A LOT so you want to ensure that you’re getting your money’s worth. Luckily, the Embassy Suites Washington, DC Georgetown has you covered. With the cost of your stay, you have access to: a business center, activities for your kids like a game room, Complimentary beverage and food services, a very nice fitness center, indoor pool area and Jacuzzi, and more. Sightseeing is fun but you also want a hotel that you can enjoy when you do have down time. This Embassy Suites by Hilton has something for every member of your family and their needs. You may even want to take a day and just soak up what the hotel has to offer.

Service

Last but certainly not least, the service is impeccable. From the Bellman to the desk agents to the service staff, every single person greeted us with a smile and helpful spirit. The Embassy Suites by Hilton staff makes it their business to make their guests feel like a part of the family. If ever we had a request or a question about the local area, they were willing to help and make sure that our experience was phenomenal. As I mentioned above, they know a thing or two about how to get customer service and experiences right. I mean, look at all the free stuff they give away for the sake of customer satisfaction.

Although we truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will be visiting again on future trips to DC, it is only fair that I mention our only hitch. When traveling to DC and choosing to stay at this hotel or any hotel in the metropolitan area, you should be prepared and budget parking expenses into your allocated funds. One thing I wish I knew was that parking everywhere including on grounds, would be super expensive. We are talking $50 per day for self-parking. Although that price probably made you cringe, I assure you that it is the District standard for parking and that the parking garage at this establishment was super accessible and convenient. This brings me back to my first point about location, get your money worth in parking fees and take a walk while in town.

NATIONAL PARKS CHAT [ please remember to LIKE SHA NATIONAL PARKS CHAT [ please remember to LIKE SHARE COMMENT and SAVE this post ] ——————
I’ve mentioned a couple of times on here that my favorite thing about living on the west coast is the access to incredible National Parks. ————— Did you know that Las Vegas is near At least 13 National Parks and approximately 12 state parks? By near and drivable, I mean a drive that is 6 hours of less! —————-
Now that the United States has placed increased travel restrictions on international travel , our goal is to cross off more states on our bucket list and hit up many more National Parks . —————————— National Parks Are:
1️⃣An excellent way to appreciate your country
2️⃣An inexpensive and cost effective way to travel in the USA
3️⃣An effective way to remain outdoors and socially distant on vacation
4️⃣Attainable for most via road trip
5️⃣A great way to worldschool and learn “in field” with children. —————————
If you haven’t started to plan for spring break or need a quick alternative to your upcoming spring break plans , will you consider visiting a National Park? If so, which one are you most interested in? Mine will be in the comments! •
