Seaworld Military Discount: Why the Waves of Honor Program Should be on your Radar

If you haven’t joined the Waves of Honor Program, then you’re certainly missing out. Finding the perfect place for a family vacation can be tricky.  As Military families, we are constantly looking to take a trip that doesn’t break the bank and doesn’t sacrifice a great time for the entire family.

We may be a bit biased here, but we just LOVE the SeaWorld/ Busch Gardens attractions. Anything with water, interactive shows, learning activities and a great time…COUNT US IN.

Not to mention a double win for the Waves of Honor Program which is the mother of all savings for Military discounted attractions. Here’s Why SeaWorld’s Waves of Honor Program Should be on your Miltary Family Travel Bucket List.

This is not a sponsored post. All opinions and pictures are my own!

Why the SeaWorld Waves of Honor Program Should be on your Milfamily Travel Bucket List

SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Waves of Honor Program Details

What is the Waves of Honor Program?

Waves of Honor is a program presented by SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment to support service members and their family members.  They do this by offering extensive discounts on tickets for attractions. Waves of Honor allows Active Duty, Drilling Reservists and National Guard members to bring family members to SeaWorld/Busch Gardens or Aquatica (at all locations) once a year for family time.

Why Are SeaWorld Military Discounts Different?

SeaWorld’s parks should be at the top of your family travel bucket list because it is absolutely FREE. I mean, who doesn’t like FREE?

The purpose of the Waves of Honor program is to salute the troops by giving free tickets to service members plus 3 Direct Dependents. I call this the mother of all attraction discounts! Other venues only cover the fee of the service member but SeaWorld wants the entire family to have a great time.

This is a HUGE money saver for large Military families. Considering that tickets run around $80 to $90 a person, the savings are nothing short of AMAZING!

With the SeaWorld Waves of Honor Program, You Have Options

As Military families, we are often spread out across the continental US. Luckily, SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment are geographically accessible from the East Coast, Midwest or West Coast.

Planning your military family trip just got easier. Not only do you get free access to SeaWorld but Aquatica and Busch Gardens are free as well. Below, is a list of locations and attractions that are included in the Waves of Honor program.

With the Waves of Honor Program, Military Discounts with NO Black- Out Dates

Military discounted tickets always come in handy but many have blackout dates when you can’t use them.  With them, taking leave during a major holiday can leave you without options.

Luckily, the Waves of Honor program is dedicated to honoring service members and their families all year long. Blackout dates do NOT apply to the Waves of Honor program. This means you can enjoy SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment all year round. Side Note: Christmas Time at SeaWorld is super fun and festive. It’s our favorite time of year to go.

SeaWorld is Enjoyable for ALL members of the Family

When you have family members of all ages, it can be hard to please everyone on vacation. SeaWorld parks have something for everyone…even your hardest to please member. There are rides for thrill seekers, character shows and interactive activities for the little ones. Plus, AMAZING shows for the whole family to enjoy. With a large list of activities and attractions, you won’t run out of things to do.

I know you are adding SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment to your MilFamily Travel Bucket List right now! SeaWorld Waves of Honor did not ask me to share their program but when I know about deals like this I have to share!

The Waves of Honor program is well worth the trip to one of the SeaWorld locations. While you are traveling, find a great place to stay at a discount with my Military Travel Discounts on Travel Accommodations post and make the most of your road trip with my Travel Mini Guide.
